Shar’s Hints & Tips for your Flowers

Flowers are nature’s gift to the human senses, as love is nature’s gift to human hearts.  It is only natural then, for the two gifts to be combined in a sensational celebration of love.

Here are some questions you may like to raise with the Florist – meet with them face to face where possible.

  • What flowers will best suit the season and my dress design?
  • What is my birth month flower?
  • Will I need to supply fabric samples and/or photographs to help with the process?
  • How can flowers reflect my overall look perfectly?
  • How can I be sure my flowers will last the day in the weather conditions?
  • Will they be practical and easy to hold?
  • How do I carry my bouquet?
  • How can I preserve my bouquet?
  • Are you able to provide buttonholes, corsages and flowers for the church and reception?
  • What are your timeframes on the day for all flowers to be in place?
  • Are we required to pick up the bouquets, buttonholes and corsages?
  • Can we look at examples of your work?
  • Do you have any testimonials from previous clients?
  • Do you require a deposit and if so what is your refund policy?

Flowers need to arrive well-misted and wrapped in cellophane.  Examine each bouquet and remove any damaged blossoms.  Keep them out of the heat and direct sunlight.

Relax and enjoy the journey
